Even though your outdoor sign is made with an appropriate outdoor wood, it does not mean it will not weather, wear and break down over time. The sun destroys ALL! For this reason, we apply several coats of outdoor acrylic polyurethane finish to help preserve and slow this weathering process. However, it will require a little periodic maintenance by you to keep it looking it’s best! We recommend cleaning it at least every other year (remove cob webs, dust, sand or any other residue) and apply a fresh coat of polyurethane either by brush or spray. By doing this, you will help your sign last many more years to come! Don’t be shy to ask us what product we used, we’ll be happy to tell you.

Our ego would like to think so, but there are some limitations to what the machine and bits can do. Some designs have multiple layers and super fine detail that can make carving in wood difficult. Having said that, we won’t know until we try, so don’t be shy to message us with your design or logo to know for sure! If you have a vectorized file version such as .dxf or .ai of your logo, this will help us in the designing process by leaps and bounds! If you do not know what that is, contact the company that designed your logo and they may have a version for you to send.

When it comes to hanging your smaller indoor signs, there are a couple of ways you can accomplish this. You can use a durable two sided tape and simply stick it on the wall! Do your best to choose an appropriate strength for your two sided tape based on your cutout, as it is available in a range of strengths. Sawtooth hangers are also a very safe choice.
When it comes to hanging your outdoor sign, it all depends on where you are going to display it. If you want it to hang with chains from a wooden post or metal frame, you will need hardware. Chains, hooks, eyelets, etc. can all be purchased at your local hardware store, or we can provide the hardware for you at an added cost. Saw tooth hangers can also be installed on the backside of your sign, but please use the proper length of screw as to not screw through the sign especially if your sign is dimensional. As well, we recommend using stainless steel hardware so that it does not rust.

Please remember, we take great pride in making your custom piece perfect, and perfection takes time. We do not like to rush through our orders, so please be patient when waiting for your custom piece. We will give an approximate timeline on all custom pieces. If this is a gift and you need it by a specific date, please let us know and order early so that we can work with you to make that deadline. CHRISTMAS ORDERS MUST BE IN BY THE END OF OCTOBER! This is the busiest time of year for us and we need to make sure we have enough time to complete everyone’s order on time. Thank you!

We use a 4′ x 4′ CNC, meaning we can cut sections up to 4′ long at a time. Ideally we would like to cut within those parameters, but there are ways to work around that depending on your design.

Cribbage, Marble and Tock games are created with white maple because it simply carves and finishes the best. It is a light colored, dense and durable wood that will stand the test of time. It also stains the best to maintain the actual color of stain chosen.
Laser-cut games are created with high quality Baltic Birch. This material also stains and finishes beautifully.
Outdoor signs are created with Western Red Cedar or White Oak. Both have superior anti-weathering and insect resistant properties that are ideal for outdoor use. Cedar is a softer wood than White Oak and depending on the level of detail in your design, we may suggest one over the other.
